We had a wonderful vacation with our families. Our first stop was in Grand Rapids, Michigan to visit my family. My sister lives there and my family and friends came over to see us. I wasn't sure how wesley was going to act being around so many kids at once. Since he doesnt see a lot. He was awesome. He had so much fun running and yelling, chasing. My nephews were so good with him. They let him climb on them and wrestle them. I thank them so much for giving him such a good time. My sister was a great hotess and I thank her for opening her home so that we could see many people. Friends of the family came over with their kids. Some whom I have never seen only in pictures. Wesley loved seeing them as well. And of course there was a "new" baby there. Ahh, there's nothing like that "new baby smell". (no, it didnt stir up anything for me!"), shame on you! talking to my husband the most. I didn't even want to hold her, I was ambushed!!! Oh well, i am so happy i did, she was a sweetheart. We went and picked out pumpkins at a pumpkin patch.
My grammal came down which was a very Big deal for her to travel. I cant thank her enough for coming as well as my aunt and uncle for bringing her and my parents for taking her back. i spent a lot of time with her and we had a wonderful time together. Wesley kept a close eye on her. but he kept saying "HI" to her. Took wesley to the park, and he just loved being there.
After we left there we drove to Minnesota to visit with Wes's parents for the rest of the week. That was a long drive but we had a great time. Went to the Mall of America a couple of times and then Wes and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary while we were on vacation and wes's parents babysat for us so we could go out to dinner. That was Wonderful! We havent' done that in a long time. after dinner we went back to the mall. i've never been there at night. They still had the rides going but in the dark. we walked around for awhile and then headed home. we also took wesley to and apple orchard and got some apple cider! (love it!!) and hot donuts. he loved the sugar donuts. he was also able to see some animals. and he was just giggling. it snowed a little while we were up there and we were out shopping and wesley kept his hands on his ear so the wind and snow would stay out of his face. he wanted grandpa to carry him. kept running after. i guess he is not a winter person. on our way home we stopped in st louis and spent some time there, got wesley out of the car. he was pretty good for the amount of time that we spent in it. when we got home i thought that he would be a nightmare for the 1st couple of nights cause of sleeping by himself. since the whole time we were on vacation he slept between wes and i. oh no! he went to bed fine and i think he was so happy to have his own bed back that we didnt hear a peep out of him! It was wonderful. Thank you to our families for a wonderful vacation!
